Jeremy’s Journey #3

Hey everyone I’m back it’s been an incredible past few weeks full of more events than I thought possible. First the training I hinted at in my last post was a blast. The training was a Project Wet/Wild facilitator training. For those who don’t know Project Wet and Wild are nationally recognized environmental education programs for grades k-12. They focus on hands on activity and understanding issues instead of just memorization. To learn how to teach these activities we had to play them and it was an amazing time. After that I was able to participate in the AmeriCorps national swearing in event in Nelsonville at Hocking College. This event was a great time we helped the Hocking railway by cleaning one of their trains. From there the nonstop events continued with Little Cities of Black Diamonds Day here in Shawnee. That day was amazing and our first official day open for the new Winding Road Market Place that is now open 9-4 Monday-Friday so come in and see me sometime! We had a great day celebrating history and enjoying life. Finally, just yesterday I was in Columbus for the ServeOhio conference on National Service and Volunteerism. It was a busy day, but the presentations were amazing and extremely informative. I wish all of you could have seen these events through my eyes and see how amazing this position is and these experiences are, I am learning more than I ever thought I would and I love every minute of it. to follow the beginnings of my story visit
